Hi, I’m Will. I live in Seattle. I am the man behind these photographs. I love life, but most importantly, I love the people in my life.
Not always a photographer, and I won’t only do photography. Photography began as an accident on a trip to Seattle with friends. My friend brought his camera, and somehow it found its way into my hands and I documented the trip with many different angles and experiments. When I posted the photos online my friends greeted them with much praise. I eventually bought a DSLR camera, and it all went on from there. I started with youth groups and kids camp and now I am producing material for businesses, musicians, families, and others. Now living in Seattle, where photography started for me, there has been a huge shift in why I am doing art as a living. When I used to be all about myself, I have seen where my artwork has become more about telling the story in front of my camera.
My camera is just one tool that I use to share my perspective of the world to you.
I have a background in cinematography, video editing, audio engineering which has allowed me to add uniquely to each and every project. I have experience working on larger scale productions in Seattle working with companies such as: Digital Kitchen, Vantage Point Productions and 5am productions. I recently started a 14 month internship at Mars Hill Church Downtown Seattle in August 2011, which has helped me fine tuning my story telling and documentary style of film. Overall, my photographic style has changed dramatically over just the last year, and I feel the most important thing that has motivated this shift is the motivation to turn away from thinking it is all about me.
